Connect Family Resource Centre

Connect Family Resource Centre currently operates from a local authority house that is no longer fit for purpose because it does not have the space to cater for the increased demand for their essential services. They provide strengths based & early intervention family supports, counselling(adult/child/problem gambling), Footsteps Youth Programme, Beacon Family Support Programme, education and training opportunities, physical and mental health supports and a host of other innovative supports all designed to meet the presenting needs of the community. They need a multi-functional /multi-use space to meet the needs of a rapidly growing community.

Staffing in Connect FRC has grown from a staff team of 1 FT and 2PT to a team of 9 paid staff and 2 Community Employment workers

Core Aim:
Cable is a Youth Diversion Project based in the community which aims to divert young people from becoming involved (or further involved ) in anti-social behaviour or criminal behaviour by facilitating personal development through creating opportunities and promotion of civic responsibility.

Moneymore After School Club

Core Aim:
to support the young people who attend to stay in school by assisting them with homework and providing activities and workshops, Easter camps and summer camps in collaboration with parents and the community. Everything we do is to encourage personal growth and responsibility for the amazing young people we work with.

Moneymore Community House

Moneymore Community House opened in 1986. It has been a meeting space since then. The company, Moneymore Community House LTD. as well as managing the house, is the Sponsor of a Jobs Initiative Community Environmental scheme and Board of Management for Moneymore Community Childcare Centre.

Community Creche Skelly’s Lane Drogheda operates near the site location of MTCH and is managed by Moneymore Community House LTD. MTCH will provide meeting space for environmental initiatives hosted by the Community House.

Core Aim:
Provision affordable childcare to low-income parents supporting them to return to work and/or education. The Moneymore Community Creche was built exclusively for childcare and was opened in 2007and is located adjacent to the proposed site for the Community Hub.
